I'm not too techie but have a Raspberry Pi which I'm desperate to do something with. I have a buffalo link station duo with all my media on it, but for some reason it struggles when trying to watch movies etc through my Sony Bravia TV - it takes ages to find the files, then it wont play them or sometimes the files appear and sometimes they don't. And don't get me started on my iPad/iPhone, I can't these to connect to it at all even with the Buffalo apps - it never seems to want to connect even when it does see the media server it takes an eternity to find the files if at all. It does however seem to work fine through my PS3 so I know it can work.

I was thinking of using the Pi to act as a link to my media server and TV (and iPhone/iPad if possible) rather than having to leave the PS3 on all of the time which seems to overheat sometimes.

Pls can you point me in the direction of some help on how to set this up?
Thx

How are the speeds on fibre? I'm currently waiting for my ADSL to be activated with Vivaciti until I'm able to get fibre at my exchange.

I settled on raspbmc as well although I do check out openELEC on a spare SD card.
I had no idea about the TV remote tweaks, so I might try that. Of course, it makes perfect sense that everything is configurable :)

Hi Louis, I'm helping E-Car and follow up Future Energy Show in Wolverton on Saturday 20 October. I was interested to find out if you are local to Wolverton and interested in the E-Car scheme? Can you drop me an email or give me a call 07813 780 125. It would be good to have a chat. All the best, H x Helen Wright.

I really like that passage from the book. Have you read James Lovelock - Gaia? That is interesting in a similar way almost like and extraterrestrial looking at us.

It's my first time voting today and I have no idea who any of these people are besides one or two of them. Aside from their own websites where they can say whatever they want without having to back it up with actual evidence, it's like they don't exist. Kind of scary when you consider that people just vote along their own party lines without knowing anything about the actual candidates.

Hi Ottman,Yes I can ! Great news, I was able to successfully comilpe this latest version without any issue using your intructions !Thanks a lot for that !Anyway, I do not have yet any blog (it's on study!), so, if you provide me a way to send you the DMG, you will be able to share it ? (if you do not see any particular issue, on my side, i do not see any one).Seb

I usually just use the Suspend button in Boxee. But yeah, it is annoying that the power button stops working. I haven't found a way to fix it.
